Soundtrack of my life
So I'm finally updating my blog. I ran across this and I thought it would be fun...
SO IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE So, here’s how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don’t lie
Everybody’s doing it:
Opening Credits: Casting Crowns - "Your Love is Extravagant" (alright...)
Waking Up: Five for Fighting - "100 Years" (hmm...interesting choice)
First Day of School: Fernando Ortega - "I Need Thee Every Hour" (HA HA HA...as a student or a teacher...this can't be more true!)
Falling in Love: Ray LaMontagne - "Shelter" (aw...cute fit...and i didn't have to try!)
Getting it on: Las Rubias Del Norte - "Confutatis" (Hahahahha...alright...this is nothing close to Marvin Gaye...but it's SO funny. If you haven't heard of Las Rubias Del Norte, check out this song on iTunes)
Fight Song: John Mayer - "Comfortable" (more of a "I regret the break-up song")
Breaking Up: Lauryn Hill - "To Zion" (I don't think the song really works here...BUT having Carlos Santana in the background...that makes a cool break up song!)
Prom: Keane - "Somewhere Only We Know" (I think this fits for that very lost and alone youth at prom...)
Life: Weezer - "Beverly Hills" (okay...I think this one has to be one of my favorites on this soundtrack)
Mental Breakdown: Aretha Franklin - "You Make Me Feel" (For a mental breakdown?? hee hee...)
Driving: Jason Mraz - "Geek in the Pink" (A very fun song)
Flashback: Matisyahu - "Refuge" (This song TOTALLY works as a flashback. Talk about remembering the past! "You have been a refuge for me...a tower of strength in the face of the enemy...")
Wedding: Brad Paisley - "Find Yourself" (A slow, country-ish, nice dance song...it works)
Birth of Child: John Williams - "Forest Gump Theme Song (Feather Song)" (I actually think this one fits!)
Final Battle: SHEdaisy - "'Cause I Like It That Way" (Hmm...a country song for the background of a battle scene?)
Death Scene: Weezer - "Island In The Sun" (Too happy for a death scene)
Funeral Song: Matt Wertz - "5:19" (At first I thought this was a far stretch...but it works-the lyrics only. The music is too happy)
Closing Credits: Bond - "Strange Paradise" (very interesting song...makes a better opening I think)
Strange Soundtrack huh? It would be fun to actually make up my own with songs I really think fit my life.
So what about YOUR soundtrack? Anyone out there that wants to try? DB? KPChik?
I don't think anyone reads my blog anymore....
