...all things Summer 2007...
i don't know why I'm counting....
Number of days since the last day of school: 9
Number of planes I've been on since the last day of school: 4 (all exit row seats)
Number of days away from home: 6
Number of books read so far: 3.5 (including one I listened to on my ipod)
Number of concerts I planned to see and were cancelled: 2 (WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!)
Number of days until I leave on my trip: 20
So summer is in full swing and I'm running around like crazy, but it's been good. I spent a few days in Vegas with my parents right after school ended. I actually played my piano for the first time in years. Have you ever had that experience when somehow you do something that took up so much of your childhood? It felt so good. I downloaded sheet music from the internet and pounded every mistake-no shame at all. It was weird...i must be the only person who leaves Vegas that cries: "I MISS MY PIANO!"

Just got back from spending a few days in Salt Lake City on a teaching conference. i actually really enjoyed the conference. There was 57 teachers from our district-a few teachers and administrators from each school and a handful of big wigs at the district office. i had a blast with the 3 other teachers, vice principal and principal from my school. And get this-we're all Christians. We actually prayed together several times on our trip. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be surrounded by so many people who love Jesus in a public school setting.

Kpchik picked me up from the airport last night and we headed to the Staples Center to see Rain-one of the most popular Korean artists around. yes...you heard me right....a Korean concert. Rain was named as the #1 most influential person of 2006. It was so sad...walking down the street and having to hear the news from another fan...only to see this sign at the door
What makes this even more crazy...this that Kpchik and I had tickets to go see Kelly Clarkson in concert too. AND HER TOUR WAS CANCELLED! =)
If you want to know more about Rain and see a really good spoof on him, look for the Colbert report Rain spoof on the right ------->
